# VM-scoped SSH keys

You can add SSH keys scoped to a single VM to your account:

```bash
cat key.pub | ssh exe.dev ssh-key add --vm=my-vm
```

This key can SSH to `my-vm` and [sign HTTPS tokens](/docs/https-api-local-key#vm-tokens-via-local-signing) for it.

This may be useful if you want to grant access to just one machine to someone or something, and
can be paired with SSH's forward and reverse port forwarding.
